Kolsa, The Black Himalayan Cat
(2017-2020)
Rescued this black beautiful Boy when he was injured and hurt. We took almost an hour to be friendly till he decided to walk out from under a car and come to me. He felt safe as soon as he crawled onto my lap and signalled me to be picked up. He communicated that he was wandering for weeks and was attacked a couple of times by street cats, dogs and whacked by humans. I brought him home and named him Kolsa : Jet black Coal which would once turn into a sparkling diamond!
Unlike his angry look, Kolsa was a giver of love and are extremely docile. He purred when he was content after a meal and longed for affection by mewing. Talkative and communicative.
He was comfortable here; after he was given food and water to drink. He had a head injury and a scar on his ear. After a leisurely bath he felt clean and was pleased when he was groomed (it was a first for him. He had never experienced a spa!) He now wanted this comfort for good. And he was going nowhere till he found a loving and comfortable home. He demanded for attention he never received and love he always yearned for.
Days later, with a heavy heart I bid him adieu since he was going to his new home. He showered love and happiness to the new family with love and positivity. We felt a connect even after he left. We communicated every time his human frantically called to say he has stepped out for a stroll and not returned home yet! Well, he was a wanderer... a Gypsy cat. He mentioned how he walked into human lives to heal them.
Last week; when he stepped out again... I felt uneasy. It seemed different. He wanted to explore and not return.
We found him injured and scarred after 3 days. This time his wounds were deep. He mentioned that he wouldn’t make it. Bye bye black beauty Kolsa, you are special. Stay connected.
RIP sweet kind soul.
