Troubled Cookie

From the Dog Whisperer’s mouth :

2.5 yr old Cookie was adopted a year back by her lovely family. A few months back, her human called for advice. He wanted to know why Cookie brutally attacked her most loved human in their family, and injured her, till her faced bled profusely! Her family was upset and decided to consult someone who could make them understand what Cookie was actually going through. Why would she attack her human who loved and fed her with so much love and care?

A few communication sessions with Cookie led to a conclusion that she felt extremely guilty with what she had done. She couldn’t express this well to her human because after the unfortunate incident, her human was uncomfortable and insecure when Cookie came close to her. The situation worsened after Cookie snapped again a couple of weeks later. Weeks passed and her human called to inform that they had taken a harsh decision to give Cookie away.

After a serious discussion with her human, it was decided that one last communication with Cookie might give the family a better perspective. She was a tough nut to crack. She lied, she stopped interacting... she was a bit rude at times too!

Cookie was an abandoned pup. Her earlier family was not so giving. She had gone through a lot of trauma as a pup and was clueless how to behave when so much love was showered onto her by her new family. Her instinctive reactions were definitely different from other beings but her love for her new family was only growing. Cookie mentioned about her encounter with a human who whacked her hip when she refused to move from her bed.

The sessions were extremely draining for Cookie and me. She was a brave girl who wanted to only forgive those who had hurt her. She even mentioned her little human friend whom she loved.

These few months spent (communicating) with Cookie made me realise how forgiving animals are! Their purity is above any human emotion.

Cookie is now with her new family... still trying to forgive herself for what she did to her lovely human. Her family has been supportive and understanding. They had tremendous patience to help Cookie overcome her fears and come to terms with her traumatic past. Thank you for being such good souls.
